Today was, well, interesting. I didn't quite have my reading done for either of my classes by the time I had them (and still don't I've got about 10 pages left for each), but I should be caught up tomorrow, and then can maybe even start thinking about getting started on the reading for next week, so I'll be really on the right schedule again. I find this somehow exciting. I absolutely hate playing last minute reading, or catch up. I think it goes with my need to be early to everything.
So I called Nathan (as is pretty usual for Tuesday nights), and we had a nice conversation. It was relaxed and pretty much back to normal for us. I let him do a bit more of the talking than usual, because I know that makes him comfortable when he's feeling kind of unsettled, and in similar situations, I tend to fall into listening roles. But I did talk some too (thus avoiding my major worry in any sort of relationship: romantic, friendship or anythign else: that I'll just be a listener, and not an equal). But he outlined for me the current democratic party presidential candidates. I really should be keeping up with that more. But I read the SJS stuff sometimes, and that's it. I don't think to do more htan that. When it gets closer to elections, I'll do some real reading. But it was reassuring to just interact on the usual casual level, and be comfortable with each other. It helped integrate things a bit more, although I still haven't managed that as well as I'd like.
Life goes on. One of my wall hangings has fallen yet again. I go to play with masking tape now, I think
