As I frequently say when I don't know what else to say, life continues. It's doing pretty well at continuing, in fact. I figure- it's had lots of practice, no reason to mess up now. Today was mostly minyan, class, meals, and sleep in between, and then dancing tonight.

Dancing thoughts: so, Felicia and I went on a quest for a 6th member for HaMakor. We might have someone- it depends on whether or not she can move around a business trip. But if so- she even has performing experience, she just hasn't been performing the last few years because she has young kids. (10, 5, and 4: a girl and two boys) If she can, I'll be very happy and excited. If not- then we're going to have real issues. I guess we try to conscipt someone who used to be in HaMakor for Shibolim, since she knows it already, and either rechoreograph Neimat HaMidbar for just the 5 of us, or search for someone, maybe from Brandeis (Lord only knows who: anyone I know who could learn in time is probably Way too busy), or some such.

More dance thoughts: the program tonight was pretty strange. The request list sprouted a lot of stuff that only some folks knew, and I guess Rafi and Ronni were being lazy about programming: because I know that all three of my requests were played (a good thing) in order as I'd written them down, all in one block (just weird). That wasn't the smartest, I'd think, since they weren't the Most popular dances- from the early 90s, I think, and somewhat on the harder side of things. Usually the easy dances I ask for are even less well known, oddly enough. Or maybe not, considering that common easy dances tend to be so overdone that I (and almsot everyone else) am sick of them. It is nice dancing with Samara and Matthew- Matthew is nicely enthusiastic about everything, and Samara I can hang out with for the dances I don't like. So- the program was odd: nice for me, except for the scattering of really lousy dances, but those are always there. Not as nice for people who haven't been dancing as long or as err, dedicatedly. And it was put together oddly. I really like Rafi and Roni- they're sweet (Samara and I had a really Funny conversation with Roni today about err, bits that jiggle. One of those girls-only conversations.) but they're not half the programmers or teachers that Ken is. It would be nice if he were still around Boston. (mutters off into unintelligible IFD babble....)

Random Hebrew question: to say "a man that I know" would it be "ish she'ani makir" or "ish she'ani makir oto"? I.e. English or Arabic structure, which is how my mind thinks of it. Now, it would be logical for me to just ask my Hebrew teacher- but I had to write it down in order to remember to ask.

OK, back to doing a bit more reading for tomorrow before I turn in. When I'm going to do all my homework this week is a bit of a mystery: way too much rehearsal this week, for assorted upcoming performances. Brass Ensemble stupidly (and here I blame me, mostly, who doesn't understand that February 4 is the week after January late-20-something) agreed to play at a coffeehouse this Wednesday- it'll be an adventure.
