Arabic is irking me. This assignment won't let me focus, has lots of questions that are more or less irrelevant but hard to find, and generally never lets me think about one thing for long enough. Grr. Maybe it'll work better tomorrow morning.
On brighter notes, I got to talk to my sister for a bit just a bit earlier tonight. It doesn't happen often, and when she's happy to hear from me, it's very rewarding for this older sister. Sibling relationships are just as complicated as any other kind. (And yet I want a whole bunch of kids- go figure. Em is really a lot better of a sister than I usually will say outloud.) Also, Dave did his studying here, which was nowhere near as distracting as one might have feared. It was actually motivating to have someone else there whom I knew was aware of what I was doing. One thing I miss about having a roommate- having someone to share the ridiculous or funny bits of reading assignments with. And now, I think I'll give up and go to bed, even though I have more work do to, and won't have enough time to do it tomorrow.
And well, I'm just amazed at the variety of stuff my friends put up on their journals. It really spans quite a distance of material, if that makes any sense. My word. (And now I sound like my play character. "It's considered good luck to have a witch living in your village. My word, yes.")
