I am once again quite surprised at how any one person can change a whole group of people's interpersonal dynamics. It's impressive, sort of strange, and occasionally disheartening. Charisma is an awfully dangerous thing.

First Time That Has Happened To Me

A Professor wants me to get a book that's (recently) out of print, off the internet. He wants us to get it Now, as it will be used fairly early in the course. I'm not entirely sure I'm taking the class- I know nothing about this professor otherwise, or whether or not the course will be at all interesting, although it does look like something that I should take, considering that I may occasionally want to use assorted Jewish texts as materials discussing how people actually behaved/lived during assorted time periods. But if it seems lousy, I don't want to have to buy something random offline, partially because I've never done that before. The class only meets once a week, on Wednesdays, so it'll be a while until I have it, and I'm trying out a bunch of classes, although this one seems quite useful, probably. So- eep. Do I buy it or not? Probably, it might be a useful book anyways. So- wish me luck...

Silly Kvetches

I stood up recently, and got briefly dizzy. One of my few kvetches about this school is that it is entirely too difficult to stay hydrated here. I have to keep drinking water like some sort of maniac. I do not approve.

I almost picked up my toothbrush in an attempt to brush my hair. THis is not a good sign. Today's going to be weird, somehow. Not sure how. Wish me luck.
