Shabbat was quiet. Started contemplating next weekend: lots of people will be gone, so I'm going to end up organizing assorted Shabbat stuff, and think I might be doing some cooking. So- should be interesting. I can't believe February break is coming up already. It's going to be a busy one. I should really finish firming up my plans- argh for things depending on other people that are well, less than completely set because of them.

Went to B'yachad's show this evening. (B'yachad is Brandeis' Israeli Dance Performance group) It was interesting- some very good points, some rather lousy ones. They had a tendency to either canibalize regular recreational dance pieces or to choreograph very pretty dances that just didn't look like IFD much. Sure I'm just a tad of a traditionalist, but still... Oh well. I just wish they didn't think that a bunch of fancy lifts, done over and over again made any dance a sparker. Their festival piece was good though- not what I'd call Israeli, but good. And darn but I'd love to have their budget for costumes. I mean, they certainly reuse, but much as HaMakor costumes match our pieces, and I wouldn't actually want to deal with most of their costumes- they're certainly pretty. Ours work well, but tend towards the prosaic.

Why is Everything happening the weekend of April 9-11? The count thus far: Jill's wedding, BORG play (Alice in Wonderland), NEFFA (I always think about going- guess this won't be the year to go either), Alexis' tap show, [livejournal.com profile] belu's semiannual production of Rocky Horror... ([livejournal.com profile] belu I know you're not planning on being in the actual production, but in my mind, it's your thing: I don't know anyone else in it.) Every time I think the list is done, I find out something else to add to it.
