I walked into Aramaic today, then a moment later pointed out Steve pointed out the list of cancellations of classes occuring in that room (where I have 2 3/5 of my 3 classes), including my Yiddish class (my prof has the flu, poor lady) and Analyzing the American Jewish Community- apparently for Tomorrow, which very much confuses me. I'm really not at all sure if I should show up or not. Maybe I'll bop over to the departmental office and inquire.
The weekend was pleasant and nowhere as busy as originally planned: snow cancelled both the substitute teaching I was going to do and the gathering of HaMakor-types in the afternoon. (Now we're trying to reschedule the latter, and it's nearly impossible to harmonize the schedules of a bunch of working people, two of whom have little kids, and 2 college students. Eep.) So I spent much of the day in
zodaicmg's room, doing Aramaic homework and hanging around being useless. I definitely didn't get done anywhere near as much as I should have.
But Yiddish and work were cancelled for today, which means that I'll have from 1-dinner to do work: I think a nap and my thesis (and maybe htat Drisha application?) should fill my afternoon nicely and make me a much more productive self. And that will be good.
