Today's Down: the oven burnt a bunch of my scallopped potatoes variant. The rest is eatable, and I'll microwave it to heat it up, so it won't get more burnt. And I just feel wilty about the meal I made for Shabbos dinner, even though it's perfectly reasonable. SOmeday I should plan recipes Before I grocery shop, rather than afterwards.

The up was that I got something that I think passes as an official acceptance email for JTS, and an email with my probably Hebrew placement- C1, which is quite reasonable. (It's the next to last level of learning-the-language type classes, and the 5th semester in their sequence, not including the "I don't know a single letter" level. So considering that I haven't taken modern Hebrew in almost a year now officially, and my last semester was verging on over my head, this ought to be perfect.)

Off to finish preparations. Hopefully a cleaner room will make me happier. Oh yes, and to learn the mincha leyning, which was only assigned to me yesterday. This strikes me as not a nice amount of time to give people, even if it's perfectly doable. The gabbay currently assigning these things is really getting behind on both leynen assignments and morning minyan emails. The other gabbay is Really good about such things. It's starting to make people a little cranky. Ahh, minyan procedings...
