Work so far is an interesting hodge-podge. It took until halfway through today, my second day, for them to start training me by having me listen in on someone else's calls. But it seems pretty doable, I think. The first day and a half I was doing something even more doable for me, although they were treating it as something that was out of the ordinary and putting us out because it wasn't in our job descriptions: reading transcripts of interviews and pulling out quotes related to specific themes- aka, something I have some actual training in. Of course, rather than sociological themes, these were about the various advantages and drawbacks to having large screen televisions. But it's something. So we'll see what happens tomorrow. But so far, the people are quite nice, so I'm feeling hopeful.
