Well, today at work went well for me: I finally met my assigned daily goal of 4 completed surveys per day- it isn't as easy as it sounds. So I was in quite a good mood for most of the day. And it's a good thing that I did, I think- two of my coworkers were "let go" because their productivity wasn't high enough. I'm realizing that I'm very glad that I'm only going to be at this job another month or so. (Admittedly, I've also only been there for about a month- a smidge more than that now, I think, but only by a few days.) One of the folks who was let go was someone I quite liked- but that's life. We'll see how things go from here. I should probably figure out contingency plans for what happens if this job doesn't go so well a few weeks before I'd planned to leave it though, or something of the sort.
I did get a call saying that my car had been fixed though, during the day. So I took the commuter rail (which didn't come until 5:30- which was the schedule, it's just a while to wait when one gets out of work at 4:30. So I got to talk to
zodiacmg who was finishing his day off from camp, since we'd only gotten to talk a little last night- so it was hardly a waste) to the T to the bus (where someone recognized me somehow from Brandeis and showed me where the right busstop was as there were several near eachother there- she said she'd gotten lost the first time she'd taken that bus, and showed me where to go: it was very kind of her, whoever she was) to get the dealership. I think I might have been smarted to have taken the ride home with the person who gave me a ride in and walked to the bus from there- it would have taken less time. Part of the reason it took quite as long as it did was that I missed the turn onto the right street and took another- which I luckily knew part of so I could get myself around to the right place, but it was definitely a slightly longer walk than I'd planned. By the time I got to the car it was already a bit past 7:30. So I didn't actually get home until almost 8pm. Hence I didn't go dancing this week, again. I was just too tired, even if I wasn't physically exhausted, I just didn't want to Go anywhere else.
So I had a quiet evening- but it was a darn long day. Tomorrow at least should be shorter.
