Last night I even got to go dancing: one of the admissions interns was also going, so I walked with her, and got a walk back from some friends who were still in town after dropping their daughter off at freshman orientation- their daughter and I are planning to be dancing buddies once orientation is over, so it was kind of fun to see her folks- it's been a while. Still figuring out when it's safe to walk around at night here, but I'll get it eventually.
Today I'm being oriented furiously. Some of it has been rather exciting, and makes rabbinical school and being a rabbi sound a lot more appealing than I sometimes worry. I don't know, this orientation thing is making the concept alternatingly much more interesting and much less interesting than previously. On the brighter side, I have someplace for Shabbos lunch now (and then got another invitation shortly thereafter. I feel loved, which is really very wonderful right now). The seminary itself is starting to feel more homelike...
Now I must return to being oriented.
