Last night I really and truly actually called someone "Hey you"- and he responded. Admittedly, it was Steve, so I oughtn't be surprised.

I also had a conversation about how hard it is to really get to know people at dancing. The other guy's coments were that we spend all this time building trust, and almost no time getting to know eachother through conversation- especially for him: he doesn't sit out and chat much. Myself, I think I know a number of people through dancing and through what they tell me about their spiritual lives, and nothing of the regular life stuff in the middle...

And someone asked me if Steve2, who was at dancing with me 2 weeks ago when he was here bringing his sister back to school, was my brother... At least it's a change from people asking if he, or the aforementioned Steve, was my boyfriend. Never thought that we looked in the slightest bit similar though. Go figure.

Am I the only one who immediately starts thinking about the halakhic requirements for the creation of a marriage when I hear the currently popular dance Mekudeshet (the words of which are the requisite phrase)? It makes for some very funny theoretical constructs...
