I just got back to my room from what was supposed to be a quick bop out for minyan a block over. Instead after minyan there was discussion of wildlife, ridiculous behavior by campers, guck, Hinduism, and several faculty immitations, then a walk back, a halakhic debate over what foods one can eat during Pesakh if bought before Pesakh with a regular hechsher but no Pesakh hechsher, some advice, and a trip to retrieve Steve's laundry with him, and a brief tsitsis-detangling.

I got some of what I intended to do tonight done. That's better than last night (when I took a nice walk instead). Tomorrow may actually be seriously productive if the trend continues.

Today classes started getting very, very empty towards the end of the day. Tomorrow promises to be even emptier. In fact, my chevruta and I are the only people planning on attending Talmud prep time tomorrow- and that includes the TA, who is not planning to come.

As for this evening, it was even less productive than last night, rather than more so. I went down to the Judaica shop to acquire a new haggadah, bought two instead- neither perfect, but both nice- and ran into [livejournal.com profile] smartphil8 who suggested that I join him, Steve and Steve for dinner, which I did. It was fun, and I know vaguely know the location of a pleasant deli. We got back with about 10 minutes to kill before ma'ariv, so we played with prayerbooks, and then kept on waiting for a minyan until most folks gave up and left, and I stayed and talked with Steve for another almost hour and a half.

So there was a definite lack of productivity, and a sizable helping of humor, and one rather nifty set of insights into a piece of the hagadah. We'll see how things go tomorrow.
