A Good Day with a Dose of Frustration

Today went pretty darn well over all- fairly low-key, low-stress and such in general. But the parents came in and we met with the parents of kids with serious allergies and such, and they brought in various foods for their kids, and one set of parents brought in all this food that had a hechsher that I don't know that we take- it isn't on my list, and then they also brought this fake cheese with no animal products or protein at all- but it doesn't have a hechsher at all. And apparently they've been using it for hte last 5 years- but no one thought to talk to me about it beforehand. So now I'm waiting for the camp rabbi to call me back. I'm not so sure that he'll have an answer- but we need to know by Tuesday when the kids show up. Worst comes to worst, I'll have them double wrap the kid's food for a while- but I'd really like the woman in charge of the dairy side not to be mad at me. But really- this is my job, I need to just deal. But it's a bit rough, some times.
