Today I learned:
1. Marinating mushrooms taste better when made with white vinegar than with cider vinegar.

2. The Canadian dollar is doing very well lately.

3. When I prepare text on my own, I get a lot, but need to go through and diagram things out, or I miss a bunch of the ways that things fit together.

Other stuff:
1. I got a bunch of stuff from [livejournal.com profile] zodiacmg that had been left in my old apartment in Waltham. Some of said stuff is nice to have again. Some of it I'd been trying to throw out. Some was quite clearly trash and I'm not sure why/how he chose to bring it all the way to NYC: a prime example of this was an old, empty cardboard etrog box and an empty mailing tube. On the other hand, I now own two more internet cables than I used to, a few scarves I'd had on the wall that I'd thought that I'd abandoned, and two rather pretty bowls. And the hefker area in my building got some donations.

2. My RD found the almost-finished kippah that I'd lost and I got it back from him. Now if I finish it tonight or tomorrow, the recipient can have it in time for Sukkot.
