The Pull of Obsessive Earliness

I'm catching a 2:oo commuter rail. It's about a 5 minute walk from my dorm room. It is now 1:31 or so, and the nudgy early part of my brain is starting to nudge me to get going. My side of the room is pretty clean, and dusting or that sort of thing would be a major project that Would take longer than I have. I could happily sit and read for 15 minutes and still be happily ridiculously early. So why is my brain bugging me to go now?

I missed the commuter rail more than once, or twice, at Brandeis, when I didn't leave at the moment my brain started bugging me.

Just my 2 cents.

I'm like that too, so no worries. :) Better compulsively early than the alternative.

Yay for obsessive earliness!

That said, I must be off to class, or I might be only 5 minutes early!
