A Cheerier Look at Housing

Friend Steve on How to Use Status as a Dancer To Get On-Campus Housing:
"Um, you can't walk, you need to debka to class, and you can't debka that far?"

So- I'm certainly a bit calmer about the whole thing now. As long as I find somewhere to live, things will be ok, and I'm sure I'll manage somehow, eventually. For now, I can put off that anxiety until tomorrow at least. Just so you all don't freak out about me.

Other than that, today was pretty unexceptional. No real good stories to impart. No deep thoughts. Hopefully things will get more balanced soon. In the mean time, housing tips are appreciated.

You could, um, request to live in my two-person efficiency in grad? Will see you at BORG tomorrow and explain. They may guarantee sophomores housing, but when you're the fourth-to-last person to pick, they don't really leave you with any options. At all. It's all "Soooo, two-person efficiency in grad with no roommate yet it is!"

All I wanted was a single. *sniff*

Oy, poor you. That's icky. If I could live with you, I'd love to. Wish they'd let me. I'm a low-key roommate.

As it is- unless they shove someone in with you, you have your own apartment for now... They probably will give you someone- but maybe you can be so weird and annoying that that other person will move out and leave you some space to yourself?

Part of my problem was that I wanted to be, you know, physically on campus rather than a twenty minute walk away (I am slow), but I think I can deal with it. I will! THANK YOU PRESCRIPTION DRUGS.

I'm totally hoping they don't assign me anyone. Bahahaha! Free reign! *evil cackle* I was totally planning on weird and annoying if I didn't like the person. What's odd is that I don't think any of the other rising sophomores need housing, and theoretically we aren't allowed to live with juniors or seniors, so I'm not sure exactly what they'll do with me. But the next apartment is a friend of mine and her friend. I expect that I shall be attending rugby parties next year.

But if you needed a place and they let you, you would be a far far better option than a complete stranger. By like, a gazillion percent. At least I already know you're strange. :P
