Today was mostly uneventful: the grandparents came over in the afternoon, my uncle, aunt and two little cousins upon whom I dote (especially the younger one, age about 7 months) joined them later. So they all stayed for a while, and we had pizza for dinner. It was a very nice afternoon, although I got a bit overwhelmed by all the people after a while, and spent a bit of tiem with just my mom, then jsut with Aunt Sherri. She and I had a very ncie talk about my future plans, Judaism, clergy etc. She's a Unitarian Minister, if not currently working. Sadly (for my family) she knows more about Judaism than the other actual Jews. We had an interesting talk about how Judaism doesn't apply the majority of halakha to non-Jews. It expects ethical monotheism, but not following all of the law. We also spoke a bit about her impressions of orthodoxy, and mine, etc. It was nice- hadn't gotten to talk to her about anything seriously recently: everyone's been focused on the baby, as is rather usual.
Other than that- there isn't so much to tell, I suppose. (Although I think I'm using too many modifiers again, as well as "I supposes" and the like, which I'm not sure if count as modifiers or not. Not good for clear communication.) I've had a number of interesting conversations tonight.
That's it for now.
