An Under-Rug
Nothing too exciting and special happened today, I don't think, in the real world of things. Professor Seliger gave us more paper samples. I need to find something artistic and exciting to do with mine. They're so pretty. Ok, that sounds tacky as heck, but it's true.
In the more ridiculous realm: my under-rug arrived, so that my rug now is somewhat cushioned, and stays in one place. It should also be a bit of insulation. I'm pretty darn excited about it, somehow. In a similar vein, I did my grocery shopping, and found out that victory doesn't have either pita bread or hummus. Sad.
And friends steve and steve (names fully protected here) are going out, which both pleases me for their sakes, and worries me for the same reason. I fear neither are terribly ready for a relationship. But well, it isn't really my business, except to be there should either of them need an ear and/or a hug.
My entire friend group here seems to be weaving itself closer and closer, into one big knot. It's going ot be err, interesting to watch over time. I'm really nto sure if this is a good thing or a bad one. But somehow I'm glad I have friends from elsewhere, just to have people who don't know everyone else, and to whom I can trust secrets of different sorts
