OK, so it's only about a minute and ten seconds long, has 3 dancers, and took me over an hour to put together. But it's my first. And I've got the very beginning of the second. But I need them for Sunday afternoon. Argh. This last-minute thing isn't so good. But it's getting there, slowly. I'm pretty happy with myself over it, even if I don't know if it's any good or not yet. I do feel a bit bad that I'm giving Matt these soloish bits when it's his first time performing, but he's going to make a great Joseph. (So the first we have Joseph, with coat, and the dream with sheaves of wheat. Then (nest dance) our sheaves of wheat take a break to celebrate the harvest. Then (third dance) we get Joseph looking for his brothers, and getting cast into the pit.) And well- this uses our 5 women and one guy set up to our advantage. The 5 women are sheaves of wheat at hte beginning, and then get to be abstract brothers in dance 3. So I need to finish dance 3, and someday eventually we'll deal with costumes and such- but that's a last step. (If anyone has ideas about making people look like symbolic sheaves of wheat, or making an easy coat of many colors, let me know.) [Note to my own note, yes I know the kutonet pasim might simply be a striped coat, or a tunic with sleaves. But we're playing ot an audience here. Even I know it isn't the time for scholarly accuracy.]
Other than that, I did get some studying done today, but far from enough. Oh well. But I did get the pans from Selig (who was great and got them from Victory), and got one to KoP Dave, so he can go and start making his cake early tomorrow morning. He's been so enthusiastic about this- I'm really impressed. The guest list issue is still insanely complicated though. I either just really don't know whom Sharona is friends with, or some people are wanting to come who don't have That close a connection to her. I'm perfectly willing to believe the former, but I sometimes get kind of paranoid about it all. I guess it's just my issues with trust. But well- it will all happen no matter what. So I shouldn't worry. (Maya- you hear that? No worrying.) Heh.
But life goes on. Liz and I cleaned the fridge today, to my intense satisfaction. My desk is a disaster area, but the fridge is clean. Maybe Monday after my exam I'll do the microwave, and maybe even dust as well. When did I become a cleaning freak? Oh yeah, as soon as I got my own space. It isn't neat, but it's occasionally actually clean.
