In the short version: staying with Shoshana was a very nice: we talked a bunch, I got to play with her cat, we went to a very pleasnat minyan in the morning that reminded me (as she said it would) of Egal but with grown-ups, and I eventually started to be able to tell her housemates apart. They're all very nice people, all blond, and thin. They differ in height and hair cut, but not so incredibly much. Shoshana stands out, but they all seem to get along, so that's all that matters. The concert with Simeon and crowd (ok, only by the definition that two is company and three is a crowd, which hardly applies in that situation: there were 4 of us total) was great. Really worthwhile. And of course, good to see Simeon (and to rejoice over seeing a sign for "Steve's Greek", a soon-to-be restaurant. Yes, Simeon is the one who has brought you so many steves...) We hung around after the concert at the T stop until the crowds had died down, which coincidentally gave us some time to hang out too. So I got myself back to Shoshana's, talked for al little bit and slept. The trip home was uneventful, and I spent some time talking with Mom this afternoon, and Em and I made ou-of-season hamentaschen tonight. All in all, it looks like it will be an interesting break. More thoughtful stuff to come soon.
