So, I neglected to wake-up in time to meet the goats. Oh well. (the goats belong to my mother's physical therapist person, Lenore- Mom was going ot pick up her new orthotics). But Mom and I ran some other errands, did a bit more work on the photo album (tomorrow I should be able to finish 2002, and hopefully start a bit of 2003- there'll still be work on it left for next break), picked up some pretty flattened-marble-things during a walk (yes, even in this weather, I like going for walks- it's something I miss at school, still). And I napped (I'm starting to get back to something ressembling my usual schedule), had dinner with <livejournaluser://gimmelgirl>, and went to dancing. I actually enjoyed the beginners' stuff: a lot of talk, and general nice atmosphere. Karen was there, which is a nice change of pace for me- I'm still quite fond of her. In general I spent a lot of the evenign talking. But it was worthwhile.

TOmorrow: photo album and cooking. A more meaningful post will happen eventually, probably soon. Lots of processing still going on. I feel rather abashed that I assumed something rather insulting was said/inferred to me about me, and it wasn't- it was all a miscommunication. GO figure.

I want to find my first tape of Israeli Dance music. The one with the old recordings that are my favorites. I want to copy it and bring it back to school. I now have recordings, on my computer, of most of the songs, but well, I guess I'm greedy: I want the nice recordings of one or two things that make me happiest. Maybe my parents will know where it is. I could then still make a copy Saturday night.

The photo album is now done with 2002. That's a major accomplishment. Also in the last few days: all my presents are actually wrapped. Don't know if I put that in before. Mom even likes the way that they're wrapped. I had fun with them this year... Hopefully the people who get them will like them too. Now- back to my regularly scheduled program (photos and cooking).

So, I decided it's my last Shabbat at home (and hence, cooking) for a bit, so I'm going to make what I want- a kugel. So, I look through my cookbook, and well- I don't have enough eggs for most of hte recipes, and am missing something or other for all the other ones. Well, darned if I'll let that stop me: kugel isn't that hard. So I threw together what egg noodles we had (probably about 10 oz.) with margarine (too much- I used what one recipe I was vaguely using called for, and had enough to make my topping and there was still too much in the kugel I think), a package of cream cheese that's been sitting in the fridge, leftover yoghurt, 2 eggs, tsp. vanilla, tsp. cinnamon, and a handful of raisins. I then some of the margarine (melted) in the bottom of a greased bundt pan, sprinkled in brown sugar and sliced almonds, and then put all the kugel stuff in, and baked it an hour. We'll see how it comes out. Besides that, I made soup, and will make some salad.

And for your enjoyment, my away message from today- it just kept growing:
"And the Away Message gets even stranger:
Too bad suckers-= you're getting kugel.

Why don't other people like kugel the way I do?

And now I just got accorded one of the people who could in theory help set up one official IFD transliteration system, along with a man who speaks more languages that I can count on both hands, a guy with too much time on his hands who likes languages, and an amusing, picky German guy. They're all at lest 25 years older than I am too...."

Shabbat Shalom! I'm off to shower.
