I return. Not that I've actually been away anywhere at all: I've been right here on campus. Life goes on, just some what bewilderedly. Hmm. I've been in lots upon lots of rehearsals, even having missed both the second part of Sunday's BORG rehearsal and Brass Ensemble (at the same time) because I wasn't feeling well. And HaMakor rehearsal- yesterday we got to actually rehearse with everyone towards the end of rehearsal. So first we taught Judith the whole piece, and practiced it, and then Felicia returned home (she was coming from a wedding) and we all ran it together a few times. And an ending just sort of miraculously appeared. There are one or two mildly fudge-y parts, but it pulled together a Lot, and it seems to be workable, after a moment of panic about not quite remembering it and also Judith's realization that the first piece we're using (Kutonet Passim) has another HaMakor dance ot it, and the rules don't allow that. But we realized that in this situation, there just isn't anything else we can do, and we'll stick with this, and try to avoid that problem in the future. Didn't make me feel to good in the short term, though. Oh well. Judith made an effort to be extra nice to me, and to be nice about my choreography after that. I think I got a brownie point in her book because, as she put it, if I hadn't choreographed, there wouldn't be a HaMakor performance this year. So- we'll see what happens with that.
