Today's agenda was to deal with Marvin, and to make a few calls in the quest for summer work. Well, I spent 2 hours on the phone with one guy in tech support, only to be left with "call back when you can get the screw out and remove the hard drive". So I did, and tried his extension- it said to wait for him to call back, 1/2 an hour to an hour. Ok- did that, no call. Eventually I called someone else, and they had me do some other things, and hte computer set up- but after dinner, it was giving me nasty messages again, so tomorrow it's time to phone tech support yet again.
In better news, Dad took me for my first driving lesson for the summer, and it went well- so much easier and less nerve wracking than last time I started to learn to drive. Tomorrow I call DMV to try to schedule a test for around the end of the summer. This really needs to get done. Someday I'm really going to need that skill, and it'd be kind of handy before that point, I'm sure. I love public transit, but it can take forever, and I can't bike when I have a long coat on in the winter, especially since I have a regular bike, not a ladies' one.
