Today at work, while going through my boss' old files (which are a complete shambles) I found the 1983 personnel manual- for the Jewish Home for the Aged. Not even for Slifka Center... Talk about ridiculous. I thought all the stuff from 1993 and 1994 was bad. It was a humorous moment. It was said boss' birthday too, so we had a "surprise" party for her. It was a surprise as much as a "staff meeting" on her birthday could be a surprise when we never have staff meetings, and if we did, she'd have been the one to organize them. My other work adventure was less fun- I went to go work on teh library, and teh computer, except for the monitor, was missing. Turned out it had been swapped over to the other monitor (which I'd Thought had an actual rest-of-computer hooked up to it- don't know where that went) that's been up there. So it was just a brief shock and a need to restrain the urge to yell at Steve, nothing more, but- argh.
