Grr

( Jan. 31st, 2005 06:42 pm)
So I was all set to go dancing tonight, finally, after a couple weeks of not being able to go, the first time because my ride was out of town, the second because of the storm. Well, I just called my ride- and she's out of town this week again. Grr. So it means I get to go to the shiur Rabbi WInick is giving, which generally constantly conflicts with my schedule- freshman year it was at the same time as BORG, then BORG got moved and I was all excited that I'd be able to go- but the shiur was also moved: to the exact same time as BORG. This year I got to go once, then it was at the same time as BORG, and now as dancing. So- it'll be nice. But I really wanted to get to dancing. Oh well. If I could know we'd be able to snag some alternative ride back, I'd just go- but I don't know that for sure, or anything close to it. Darn the poor public transportation situation around this school. If it were just hopping on one bus or just the T, I'd do it as long as I had company. But the combination of T to commuter rail takes a while, and is kind of expensive, and is a bit less than desirable at night, and requires all the usual fudge time necessary for transferring from one mode of transit to another... This is one of the times I really wish I had a car- this, grocery shopping, and getting to HaMakor rehearsals. Sadly, that list just seems to keep growing. Someday I'm going to have to be a grown-up person complete with car. I don't mind the grown up part, but the car part- it seems sad that I'm starting to feel like I need one to make life practical.
