Just learned my Torah reading for this coming Shabbat, which is thankfully quite short (4th and 5th aliyot, 9 verses total. Got offered another 15, and if I'd learned these in advance I'd have taken them, but this week is just too insane. I wanted to get some paper writing done tomorrow somehow, even. Silly me.)- and I'm quite excited aboit it- the 5th aliyah has one of the (I think 3) times where Moses says something and someone else (Aaron here, and I think at least one of the other times it's Aaron also- maybe all 3? I don't remember, darnit) tells him he's wrong- and the other person is right. Especially when reading Maimonides talking about the prophets and how incredibly perfect Moses was- it's refreshing to get a breath of fresh air on the topic and see him make a mistake.

Today was the first time someone specifically noticed that she never sees me without something on my head (other than people who've read my LJ on the topic), and she wasn't weirded out- she seemed rather approving (this is my partner for my Hebrew project). It was quite relieving for me. It was also interesting, because I had thought no one really noticed: scarves seem to be rather in at the moment: I see a number of people wearing them often enough. I don't know- it's sort of nice to have something one's doing noticed- as long as the person isn't disapproving.

Wrote 5 pages of my Liturgy paper. Not quite as much as I would have liked, but if I get a bit done tomorrow, then I should still be on track to get the thing done on Sunday except for editting.

We did Mambo again in ballroom dance class. I'd forgotten how much I just am not interested in that dance. SOmehow it bores me some, and just doesn't feel quite right. Funny, since I like cha-cha and mambo is just cha-cha without the footwork frills, thus far. Well- I like footwork frills, so I guess it makes sense.
