I went to work this morning feeling very determined that I would be there all day, and that this would be my last Really full week of work. The day started as usual, we had a brief interlude to introduce a new guy up in management- a salesman to try and get us more clients, and thus more jobs, etc. And then around 10, the boss came in and said we were over-budget on the project most of us are on, and therefore except for the folks who are most productive on it, the rest of us are going home until there's a new project. So I'm home for today and tomorrow for sure, and after that it's just calling in every day to ask about whether or not I come in the next day or not. For the sake of my finances, I'd rather that I have work sooner than later, even if the job itself is far from thrilling.
On the brighter side, I should be able to use today and tomorrow to spend some time in the library, do laundry and that sort of thing. Mom and Dad took a bunch of things I won't need right away home with them to start the whole moving process, but I need to go through school papers and see what I want to keep and what I should get rid of, and I have books to return to the BORG library, and maybe I'll bring some more home so I can catalog some more before I hand over the catalog. And there are some drawers of random stuff to go through also... So the time won't be wasted.
