A Small, but Good, Decision

I was feeling a little mopey after class today- although it was a very good day of class, and although I was originally planning on trying the Thursday night dance session, I wasn't really in the mood to go somewhere new alone, when I wasn't sure that I'd know anyone there. So instead I went to my dorm's movie night, and watched a film about a little Catholic boy and his odd interactions with a Rabbi and both of their families. It was cute, with a message that was progressive for some time quite a while ago (about how all that matters is that you're a good person), and now just rings as very rough-shod theology.

And then I went to ma'ariv, and to a concert/birthday party being held by one of the cantorial students, who I don't exactly really Know, but who strikes me as a nice guy. It was a nice time, and it was good to be out of my room with people I know, at least vaguely. And next week hopefully I'll get to that dance session, and/or the Sunday night session again.
