[livejournal.com profile] tovah623 stayed over for Shabbos, and due to a lot of her other friends being busier than expected, she and [livejournal.com profile] smartphil and I got to hang out quite a bit. It was quite pleasant- she's a good houseguest. Saturday night the three of us went out for indian food and I found something that was actually mild enough for me to eat and enjoy it- on the other hand, it tasted somewhat like something I could make by mixing tomato paste, peas and either mild cheese or tofu, except not quite. But it was nice, and then we came back and hung out until rather late at night.

This morning there was minyan, including the lovely presence of [livejournal.com profile] nuqotw and gabbaying. Then there was breakfast, hang out time, and after [livejournal.com profile] tovah623 left, a nap. And then I did laundry and started working on my application essays. It's only a very beginning, but that beginning has been flowing pretty decently.

And then this evening was the Brush hannukah party, and from there I went dancing- where they were still doing HaRishut at 9:10... But the teaching was called a beginner's lesson, and they rarely start on time, especially when neither Steve nor Steve are there to help set up. I'm not sure how that session needs so much Stuff, but it seems to. So I'm glad I didn't go rushing out to get there right at 8:00- I would have been bored stiff. And then I found that they claim to dance until 11, but actually stopped at 10:35. I guess I could stay until the end and still get home only a little bit later than I have been. It's worth thinking about.
