The Day In Random Details

1. Today was my third day of work. I finally met my official boss, although she tells me the woman who trained me will be actually in charge of me. Said woman is the third different person whom I've been told will be my boss. Sort of funny, that.

2. Steve and I were learning, and we were both so out of it that not a heck of a lot of learning really got done (we did some, just- not very focusedly), but there was a significant amount of conversation about an imaginary cat. It was a lot of fun- just not very focused.

3. Steve2 gave his rescheduled senior sermon, and it was really, really impressive. Well delivered, well written, a great moral And intelligent, well woven together- the way he spoke, I was almost convinced he had storytelling experience as well as experience giving sermons. Turns out he doesn't- but he'd be Good at it. And his wife lead davening, and it was really lovely. And afterwards, one of my neighbors was looking at my book, since I'd come straight from chevruta with Steve, and we had a good laugh about how part 2 includes not only the rewards for doing hesed, but also the punishments if you don't, and how That was really the interesting/fun part...

Tomorrow- work, lunch with a friend and friends of hers, watching graduation, and possibly lending a pair of shoes.
