Today I took my last final, and it went pretty well, I think. So, now I'm officially into summer mode, which sent me into "aah, it's summer" mode tonight, but oh well. Tomorrow I learn a heck of a lot of layning that I neglected to learn over the week, but I'll have a good amount of time tomorrow, so it shouldn't be such a problem I hope.

Today's weird interaction was with an older woman and her aide who I came across standing near the student lounge, looking for someone who could tell them what the woman could do to keep herself busy at JTS, because it was within a block of her apartment and she's Jewish and bored after some sort of hip injury. To me at least, it seemed like there was some sort of minor cognitive disconnect: her story was vague, and the facts weren't presented cohesively, and she seemed to think she had told us things that she hadn't mentioned. Also, she was looking for maybe somewhere to play bridge: an academic institution isn't where one would look first for a bridge game, I'd think. The aide didn't say much, which makes me wonder about the aide's qualifications, but who knows. It certainly made for an interesting distraction just before my exam.
