I went to the swing lessons at Columbia this evening. I think it was the best dance experience that I've had in a while- just dance, friendly people, and without the sort of jaded thing that I can get into with Israeli dance sometimes. And it was a lesson, and I think it really was good for my technique and style and whatnot. And Tuesdays are not good days for me to do lots of homework after 8 hours of class (ok, this time the teacher of my first class wasn't feeling well, so I was just doing some work for that class instead, but still) and then 2 hours of Talmud chevruta. So getting some exercise is probably ideal. Between that and having had a pretty darn good chevruta this evening, I'm in a pretty good mood. I forget what dancing does to keeping me happy and whatnot.
