I'm almost done with a paper for tomorrow, so here are some random bits while I try to think of a nice ending...

For one thing, I laid out all my kippot today so that I could lend one to Steve for [livejournal.com profile] noam_rion to use, and re-found one that I have from college that I've never worn much because it's just too flat to be practical. So I got it wet, and let it start drying between two bowls, and it has cupped enough that it should be actually wearable. It's drying some more on my head right now, and then will return to the bowls when I go to sleep. It is remarkably stiff though- it's sort of like wearing a small helmet...

On a completely unrelated note, I got to take a small adventure to Columbia's main library for work this morning to return some books and also to print a few articles for the JTS library (Columbia, being bigger, has better subscriptions to online journals and such). For this I needed to acquire a Columbia library card- so I now have a Columbia ID with a rather lousy photo.

And now I have finished the paper, although there are a couple of sort of tacky lines that I may take out in the morning- we'll see.
