Steve and I met to learn today rather than tomorrow, since tomorrow
jakal88 is coming into town to visit for a long weekend. Our usual procedure is to alternate reading and translating sentences, and then when we get to the end of a paragraph, we check it against an English translation. Somehow we've gotten into the habit of him reading the translations. This week, as he opened the book, he looked like he was getting into storyteller mode, so I made a comment along the lines of "ooh, story-time"- and he ran with it, and read the translation of htat paragraph, and for the rest of the evening, with the terms employer and worker read as "employer-bear" and "worker-bear", and with payment or wages replaced with "honey". It was a riot.
