Today was pretty simple, but quite busy. Mom and I did some serious work on my room this morning, removing and starting to pack up my "baby things", which seem to be defined as things that have inhabitted my room since before high school (mostly). A few of items will be coming with me to decorate my apartment (a wooden picture of a lion, a painting of a unicorn), but the real kid stuff will be boxed and put in the attic. And there is/will be going through of books to move books to the attic/get rid of things I don't want, so my sister will actually have some shelf space.
Then the grandparents came over, and we went out to lunch, which went pretty well, over all. We all surprised ourselves (well, except Pop, who usually cleans his plate) by finishing our meals: usually I bring home half my grinder. (Yes, in my family if they're hot they're grinders, if they're cold, they're subs.)
Some more room-work happened, and then there was a shopping venture to Goodwill. I now have much-needed pants, and some other things, including a fabulous garment that defies definitions. Then there was dinner, and more room-work.
Tomorrow there will be more room efforts, and studying for GREs. And who knows what else.
