Anyone else who is/was at Brandeis ever notice the sign by the upper doors into/out of Kutz saying "If you need to send/receive information by telephone got to Room 108"? Such a Strange way of wording things...

I've seen the same sign in Feldberg, I think. I had always assumed it had a special meaning that I would understand if I had to, but it may date back to when, say, modems were newfangled, specialized things. But then, why are they still up?

Yes, but it's TEXT telephone. For deaf people. I don't know that they really use them these days, but that's what it's for.

Kutz 108 has (had?) a TDD telephone, for deaf persons. :)

I think people who need TTYs understand the meaning . . . .

Ahh- Yeah, previous times I'd noticed something about TTY/TDDs (I'm forgetting to appropriate term, and you and Anon about you had these two options), but I didn't recognize that as the same sign and info this time...
