OK, put this one up toi [livejournal.com profile] naomichana's instigation...

So what do you think is the most annoying pasuk/verse in Torah/Bible? (A few finalists are are also accepted. Commentary on reasoning is appreciated.)

From a Ba`al Keri'o's point of view...


The subsequent verses Leviticus 26:2-3, in poroshas Behar-Behukkôsai:

אֶת-שַׁבְּתֹתַי תִּשְׁמֹרוּ וּמִקְדָּשִׁי תִּירָאוּ אֲנִי יי
אִם-בְּחֻקֹּתַי תֵּלֵכוּ וְאֶת-מִצְו‍ֹתַי תִּשְׁמְרוּ וַעֲשִׂיתֶם אֹתָם

The identical word, תשמרו, appears in each posuk, and each time on the identical trop-mark (zokeif kotôn). Yet in the first verse, the word is vocalized "tishmÔru", and in the second one, it is vocalized "tishmeRU". Grrr....
