Apparently something has happened to my LCD cable, and the tech support person (whose competence I am not at all sure of: certainly his comprehension of my explanations of what I had already done with the previous tech support person was nonexistant, and his explanations of what I should be looking for were incomprehensible) says I need to send the computer in to be fixed and have the whole screen replaced. I am wondering at this point whether or not this is worthwhile, considering the age (I bought it in May Before I started college) and general status of the computer, or whether I might save money in the long run by getting a new computer now rather than the next time this thing breaks. I'll be doing a little bit of investigation. In any case, I'll be sans functional computer at the apartment for a while.

Other than that effort, today has been quite quiet, and not anywhere near as productive as it should have been. Hopefully dancing this evening will improve things, and tomorrow I'll actually get stuff done.
