I'm fairly sure I've used that post title/subject before, but it was probably when I was reading more Vonnegut. Oh well.

The last couple days have been pretty darn intense: lots of people, lots of stuff, a bunch to think about, lots of doing- not a lot of sleep. Some of the highlights, in a very non-judgemental scheme have included meeting for real a AIM buddy type who I'd formerly met for only a very short time, a very long and wearing conversation when I was already more rubbed raw and overwhelmed than I thought I was, full days of classes, and homework that I forgot about until the last minute.

On the other hand, my chevrutas- chevrutot? chevrutata? have gone really well today: in both cases we got a lot done and as far as I could tell, worked well together. It'll be an interesting year, and I'm glad I've ended up working with interesting people with interesting insights. And I finally put together a grammar concept my Hebrew teacher keeps pointing out with the same concept as labelled with an English term that I really already knew and just hadn't linked up with the same concept when described in Hebrew- the infinitive construct. Now why I couldn't realize the two were the same thing, I don't know. I've never built up my skills with non-lamed-using infinitive forms...

And [livejournal.com profile] zodiacmg is coming down here for Shabbos this weekend- I am very, very much looking forward to it. And I even have our meal plans basically worked out. I just need to go sign up for the potluck and figure out what I'm bringing (do graduate school potlucks work on a one-dish-per-person-attending basis, or a one-dish-per-group-of-associated-people-attending basis?), and talk to [livejournal.com profile] calliope_epic about finalizing dinner plans. So no last minute worries about that, at least. I just need to clean my place up and all that. I know, it's only Wednesday, but I'm anticipating...

My mom says, "Busy busy busy" a lot, and I invariably, automatically reply, ". . . the Bokonists say." I don't think she's ever read Vonnegut, or if she did it was too long ago, because she never gets it.
