1. Weirdness
There was rather odd IM conversation earlier this evening. It definitely included descriptions of imaginary characters with one person and a decision that I did indeed know the other person I was talking to well and that this made me happy and that that made Steve happy etc with the other person at the same time.
2. Coincidence
I went out at 10:40ish to aquire some snack food, as I didn't want an apple, and as I'm heading home for a bit tomorrow, that was about all I had. One block up, I ran into Steve and Steve on their way back from a Chanukah party, and Steve gave me her leftover-junk-food bag, because she didn't really want to eat it. So I turned around and walked back home, and tagged along on a second candle-lighting with her, Steve, and
smartphil. And then there was more 1. Weirdness, in that we found a candle that had no wick, even after the two gentlemen ganged up on it with their shamashim to try to melt it to find the (apparently non-existant) wick. Then they tried to melt it to some of the other candles until Steve claimed to be the messenger of G-d and made them stop. (All this without alcohol or even excess sugar.)
3. Reproduction
After candles were lit and such, we were looking at some pictures when Steve-who-lives-down-my-hall came in and let us know that congratulations were in order. As he's already married (his wife lives in Wisconsin, he'll be joining her as soon as he can), we correctly figured that his wife is pregnant- she's due in June.
