Today's activities were simple: made cookies, did a bit of sanding (without hurting myself- this is an accomplishment), and dancing this evening. The cookies went well, the sanding was a tolerable success, and dancing was, well, up and down. SO much for tricolon there- or maybe it was. Is there a special name for inverse tricolon? Rather than good, better, best, I got good, decent, eh- doesn't build much excitement that way.

In any case, the beginning of the night was long, drawn out and boring. Easy dances without energy (usually I'll settle for one or the other, at least) for what seemed like an eternity, cummulating in a couples' set where I got stuck not only doing the guy's part (not always so bad), but with a partner who just wouldn't acknowledge my lead, and while Yossi taught a dance that he didn't actually remember, with a partner who didn't have a clue. After that, I guess he picked up that I was annoyed- he Very promptly came over and asked me for the next set. So- I danced two sets with him, and one with Dad. Generally a decent time after that. Yossi is a pretty good dancer when he knows what he's doing- but I've decided that there are other people who may not technically be as good dancers who are more fun. I guess his and my personal styles just don't mix well. So it was a decent night, if not thrilling. The KI group is much friendlier, somehow, and just feels nicer. Possibly just because it's bigger, and farther from New York.

Tomorrow: chicken soup (what? I'm making meat? This is Weird.), possibly kneidlach as well, and who knows what else.
