I was just thinking, due to assorted recent and somewhat-recent conversations, about the privacy inherent in pajamas. Now, mine are pretty well-covering. Not completely tznius (literally modest, in Hebrew, but with specific regulations according to Jewish law), but pretty close, and they certainly cover me more thoroughly than many things I wear during the day. Nevertheless, I dislike the idea of people seeing me for more htan a short time in them, unless they're someone I trust to see me actually asleep, and even then, if it can be avoided, it's more comfortable that way. Maybe it's just that they're related to sleep, and therefore since you're defenceless when asleep, you associate that with the clothes you wear to sleep in. I don't know- it's one idea.
