I just herded a spider out of my room using a tissue and my sandal. The tissue failed to work except to get the spider from the bed to the wall to the floor, and then it climbed on my sandal, and I used that to carry it outside and set it loose. But it gave me a bit of an adrenaline boost, oddly enough- spiders just don't Do that to me. And I was about to go to bed too... But it did make me wonder if this bug bite that I now have a bandaid over to prevent it from itching constantly (cut off air flow and random things rubbing it- it's working thus far) is perhaps not a mosquito bite but a spider bite- it's pretty big for a mostly unscratched bite, so I guess it could be...

That said, the beginning of this post sounds almost like the quintescential random LJ post, down to the tone of voice that I wrote it in, which is how most posts that aren't the deep and meanignful sort or the announcement sort sound.

hee! I had fun reading your post.

And, I just saw a real life mouse for the first time last night (coincidentally as I was writing about research articles dealing with mice for the paper that is due today) and gave me a sort of adrenaline rush as well. :)

I just heard some folks come up for a new school mascot- the Shermmouse, complete with kippah... That said, I saw a rather cute very small mouse first semester in Usdan- but I think that's the only one I've seen on campus.
