Grr

Someone Please remind me not to read COnnie WIllis novels other than Bellwether before going to bed? Also, while we're at it, to find a new copy of Bellwether, since the former copy decided to colonize the car of someone whose life is far more unpleasantly interesting than I could bear to ask to look for a book I'd left in their car.

I don't know of her. :( What types of books does she write?

Scifi, basically, but it's often rather tense. It has some nice human interaction: the plots tend to be very people-centered, which is one of the things I really like about her writing.

Half.com baby, half.com

Of course, another option is to go to amazon.com and see if anyone is offering a used copy.

These days I only buy my books used. Waiting for one to show up gives me something to do.

If I could only persuade myself to buy things online... I probably will. But I'll probably check the second hand bookstores around here first. I've pretty much always been a second hand bookstore type person, I mean, I worked at one for a few years and got paid in books because I wasn't actually old enough to be formally employed.
