Bad News First: I got an absolutely horrid housing lottery number: 2194. Anyone interested in helping house a Maya?

Good News: Facilities is working on fixing that horrid rattling/buzzing thing in the hallway.

Definitely time to get out of the dorms.

I'd help you out, but my number isn't much better (2078). Everyone's been telling me that people always get housing off the waiting list, though. Good luck!

I have just been overcome with sudden gratitude that I'd never have to face an undergraduate housing lottery again. It was ... fun. I remember.

Hmm. Why not just plan to live off-campus? Snatch up a great house and some great housemates before the lottery even begins? It really isn't so bad off-campus (it's actually rather nice), and you could potentially never eat in Sherman again - bliss! Also, if you perhaps decided to drive/have a car, you could get to dancey stuff much more easily.

The lottery is really quite creepy. As I was discussing with someone yesterday, it seems sooner or later, like someone will draw the paper with the black mark and be stoned by all the other students on the Great Lawn.

I've tentatively offered a pull-in to a few other people already, but I have 1401, so I'll help you if I can.
