Well, really, it was mostly writing a paper, after rehearsal, which was after a high council meeting that left me trying to hide and distract myself (and to distract [livejournal.com profile] shala). Blargh. Long day. And my class got an extension on our extension for the Liturgy paper, and it helps me not one whit, since I have a hebrwe presentation that day and another paper due the next day. Darn it.

Way past my bedtime. G"night world.

And a small bead just emerged from my nightgown- the same one I wore last night. Late nights are Strange.

A sea cucumber sounds like a lovely thing, much unlike regular cucumbers, which I find bland and odd in consistency. And if there are sea cucumbers, there would also be sky cucumbers, and air cucumbers, and really, all sorts of cucumbers. What a weird word - cucumber.

(I just had to look it up: Cucumis sativus (family Cucurbitaceæ), a native of southern Asia, from ancient times cultivated for its fruit. Fascinating! Southern Asia, who knew?)

Cucumbers without the seeds make a lovely summer-y salad with water, vinegar sugar and some mustard powder. You let it soak for a bit, and so the texture changes some. It's light and really rather delightful.
