What is it about college that compells one to eat odd foods in odd combinations? Either you live on junkfood, or you live on pasta and lettuce. And I seem to be no exception: tonight, dinner was a bowl of cereal and milk, and a bowl of coleslaw, by which I mean chopped cabbage with mayo, oil, vinnegar and some dill. I wonder if anyone makes it all the way through college eating like a civilized human being.

i don't know, but i think you covered most of the important things, dairy/grains/vegetables, that seems relatively civilized to me. i ate baby carrots and ramen noodles sans soup for most of last year, so i'm pretty impressed with your menu.

Hmm.
In college I ate reasonably, but got a little more creative before that, in sem.
Discovered that really bland and disgusting Israeli puffed rice cereal makes a complete dinner when mixed with a few spoonsful of peanut butter and, if you're in the mood for sweets, a sparing handful of chocolate chips.
A pomello also makes a reasonable supper.
Or an Israeli container of fat-free cottage cheese (somehow the ones including fat don't taste very good). About half the size of an American one.
Ooh, ooh, or a pita or laafa dipped in Hummous!
*remembers those days*

Of course, these years Thurs. can be like that, since I'm usually cooking madly for shabbos and don't have time to make a decent supper.
Poor Phillip. ;-)
