More Thesis Blabbing

Right now I have almost 45 pages of thesis written, and ideally I will write a few more pages tonight. I think this is pretty reasonable progress, considering that I had (or thought I had- somehow the number of pages I've added isn't quite enough to get me to where all the numbers add up to now, so I guess I just wasn't counting right before) about 30 pages as of Tuesday. This doesn't include several pages of literature review that I will probably need to rewrite significantly. So another day's work and I should be pretty ok as far as minimum length requirements go, and will just need to figure out what else on my outline I really need to cover, and how to work with it best, and then how to weave it all together and create a conclusion that makes an interesting point that I haven't already made. Doing some further analytic work would be good though: my advisor should be getting me some more materials on social network theory that should help with that. So I'm feeling a bit better about the thing in general and am thinking that I'll probably at least try to get this thing ready for a defense and see if I can make this work. At this point, it seems sort of doable- busy, but maybe actually doable. I'll probably think differently tomorrow morning, but well, a moment of hope is better than none...
