So I got an email back from the gentleman who interviewed me, and had reccommended me to his boss for the internship- his boss wanted someone with more history background for this internship. He said I should apply for the sociology internship. Grr... I don't Like getting my hopes up. I Really don't. Especially since it sounded very much like a sure thing. So I asked him whom to speak with about the sociology internship. WE'll see, but I'm not counting on anything. Very frustrating. Maybe I'll end up in DC for a month and then with some sort of job at home after all. I don't know. COnfusing.

I'm so sorry it didn't work out. It really did sound as though they were offering you that internship, unquestionably. Wish they could have been clearer.
Maybe the sociology one will work out, but my sympathy and I hope they learn how to deal with possible interns better soon.
