I realized today that I don't own any non-leather shoes at this point, at least not that I have with me, and I think not at all. I know that I realized this at Tisha B'Av, and borrowed sandals from my apartmentmate. So, I guess socks with no shoes it is- probably the slipper-sock things that have at least a little traction. If this is my worst lack of preparation for the holiday, that would be pretty good, though.

Spiritually- well, I have no idea where I stand. Being sick has been a very strange addition to the Aseret Y'mei Tshuvah. We'll see how the fast goes.

I didn't realize we were about the same shoe size- I'm an 8 1/2-9... If you happen to see this, I'd love to borrow a pair. If not, the world will certainly not end- this seems to be a real advantage to living in the same building with all the services...
